The Lobos successfully defended their 2008 title with a decisive victory for the 2009 title. Their 57 stroke victory is the largest margain of victory recorded in any state tournament of any classification. The team was once again led by Kyle's 1st place 5 under par round, followed by a second place finish by Tobias, a fourth by Parker, and a 5th by Jordan. Nick finished 14th overall. The team held a 25 stroke lead over Safford after day one then increased the lead to 57 over second place Payson. Below are the results of the top ten team and individuals.

3A North/East Region Champions

The winning team, shot 596 a new region record, won by 84 strokes.

Kyle was voted player of the year.

Individually Kyle was 1st, Parker 2nd, Toby and Jordan tied for 3rd and 4th, and Nick was 6th, and Michael is the designated plaque holder, and Jacob is our top local senior.

Team celebration dinner at Native New Yorker, they pounded down 240 wings, also a region record.

White Mountain Invitational Champions

Last Friday and Saturday the Lobos delivered an impressive 81 stroke victory in the 8th Annual White Mountain Invitational. There were 11 teams, here are the results of the award winners:

Wow what wind!!!! With gusts of 50+ Mph winds our first match which was scheduled to be an 18 hole match became a 9 hole match. With a shotgun start all played 9 holes, just not the exact same holes. But with the high winds it was best to call it after 9 holes. With all that here are the results.

Defending the title begins

Our first practice of the 2009 season begins Monday, Feb. 9th, at 4:00 pm. You must have a white card from the office to participate in practice. Make sure you bring your clubs, and dress appropriately(if cold or windy).
Remember we are the State Champions and will do all we can this year to defend that title.
