Pahrump Invitational 2010

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week (March 30, 31) the team traveled to Pahrump, Nevada for the Pahrump Invitational. This tournament is one of the premier tournament in the southwest. The talented large schools in Las Vegas make this tournament very competitive. The first day wind gusts were reported in the 50 mph range and constant winds of 35 mph. After day one the Lobos were tied with Las Vegas Palo Verde and one ahead of Centennial. Day 2 proved even tougher with a very cold start and again high winds. Late in the round winds exceeded 60 mph. With all this the team showed great determination in grinding out another victory. This win is extremely gratifying in that it was a team effort. All four players show great heart and focus in difficult conditions. The team was led by Jordan Henderson's career low round of 69 (a tournament record) on day 2. The team total of 616 was also a new record. The tournament was played in Pahrump at the beautiful Mountain Falls Golf Club.
